Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration Contest 2022 Column]] Tomokazu Komiya (Japanese: こみやトモカズ Komiya Tomokazu; born 1973) is an illustrator who has provided art for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, as well as several Pokémon Tales books. His illustration style is well known within the Pokémon community particularly due to his deformed and loosely colored images. This is intentional, as Komiya is a practitioner of Primitivism, an art movement that takes inspiration from themes or stylistic elements of prehistory, tribal cultures, or children's art.

For the 2023 "Pokémon x Van Gogh" art collaboration, Komiya contributed illustrations of Sunflora and Smeargle, inspired by Vincent van Gogh's [https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en/collection/s0031V1962 Sunflowers] and [https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en/collection/s0022V1962 Self-Portrait as a Painter], respectively.
